This course is designed for owners of, or those thinking of starting up, holiday lettings, Airbnbs, or short term rentals. Very practical and hands on to enhance and qualify your current cleaning practices.

What you will learn:

  • Keep yourself safe from bio-hazards
  • What to do about bed bugs
  • How to minimise your impact on the environment
  • Prepare rooms to hospitality industry standards
  • Benefits of using cleaning and maintenance schedues to minimise guest complaints

STUDY COMMITMENT

This is an online course. You will need to complete approximately 6 hours of online study, each week, for the recommended study period of 12 weeks.
You can increase the hours of online study per week to complete the course sooner.

You can also expect to complete approximately 1 hour of additional study each week outside of online study hours.

Are there any additional entry requirements?

A number of courses may require prospective students to provide additional information such as documentation, an expression of interest, evidence that you are already employed as an apprentice, or preferred prior study (or equivalent).

To successfully complete this course, you will need:

  • to have access to a recording device, such as a mobile
  • a computer and the Internet, in order to access the learning resources and assessments

Credit (or recognition) for modules/units may be granted based on previous learning, studies, work and/or life experiences. Please discuss this with the teaching section when you enrol.

Students require access to a Guest room, a recording device such as a mobile phone and a computer to access learning resources and assessments.

Host, Small Business Owner, Bed and Breakfast Proprietor, Accommodation Manager.

The successful completion of units in this course may be used to provide credit towards or a pathway into Certificates II, III or IV in Hospitality.

You don't need to study what you already know! The skills, knowledge and experience you have gained from your previous learning, work experience and life in general may be taken into account.

To apply for recognition in one or more units you must clearly show that you have the equivalent and relevant skills, knowledge and experience of the unit or group of units.

For Credit transfer where you have completed previous studies either with TAFE NSW or with another tertiary provider complete the Enrolment Adjustment - Credit - Previous Studies form, and include any required evidence.

For Recognition of Prior Learning, attach your evidence to a completed Enrolment Adjustment – Credit – Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) form and submit for assessment.
